Protected areas - 2530 ha, i.e. 17% of the city's area, including mainly:

    - The Area of Protected Scenery "Valley of Ciemięga", in the northern part of the city,
    - Czerniejowski Area of Protected Scenery, in the southern part of the city,
    - Forrest Reserve "Stasin" (24.4 ha), in the south-western part of the city,
    - Natural monuments (mainly trees): 35.


Population: approx. 355 thousand., of which::
        women         53,3 %
        men             46,7%


    A considerable number the above, i.e. 62.5 thousand (17%) of between 20 and 29 years old. Lublin is a city of the young, over 100 thousand persons study here, many of whom are not the city's residents.
