Route of the polish Tourist
Association - yellow,
distance 900 m
The route is located within the
Open Air Village Museum in Lublin, in an
area of varied landscape with valleys,
hills and ponds in the Nałęczowski
Plateau. It leads among notable
architectonic sites: houses, barns, a
mansion, granary and church.
Route of the Ciemięga Valley

Starts from the Open Air Village Museum
in al. Warszawska 96
The route leads across
picturesque landscapes located to the
west, south and south-east of Lublin.
Most of the route leads through
"Ciemięga Valley" Area of
Protected Landscape. Along the way one
can visit such sites as: 16th century,
renovated defensive manor in Jakubowice
Końskie, late-Renaissance parish church
from late 17th century in Dys, 19th
century manor in Pliszczyna, palace ruins
from 16th /17th century and scenic park
in Jakubowice Murowane.

An interesting walking route of
high recreational - natural value
allowing You to learn more about the area
located at the western bank of the
Zemborzycki Reservoir, the Bystrzyca
valley, forested areas of the ¦widnicki
Plateau, and several villages.
23 kilometres of the route lead
through the WIERZCHOWISKA FOREST RESERVE
or 24.5 ha, established to protect the
fertile, old wet-ground forest of English
oak, linden, common birch and larch trees
as well as valuable undergrowth such as:
goats beard, Turk's cap lily and
mezereon.
A well preserved palace and park
complex is located in Wierzchowiska, in
Mełgiew from mid 19th century, and in
Mełgiew Podzamcze - a palace and park
complex from approximately 1730.

Skowieszynek - Kazimierz Dolny
The route leads though the
valleys of Czechówka, Bystra and Grodarz
up to the Wisła, across the
Nałęczowski Plateau. Lively, varied
loess scenery and historic locations add
to the attractiveness of the route,
particularly in the area of Kazimierski
Scenic Park.
In D±brownica and Wojciechów
castle towers can be visited. In
Nałęczów - a picturesque spa town -
the Małachowski Family Palace from 17th
century in the spa park with a museum of
Bolesław Prus. A wooden cabin on top of
Armatnia Góra houses a museum of Stefan
Żeromski. W±wolnica is a well-known
Marian sanctuary.
Kazimierz Dolny - a town of
exceptional character, nature and history
is a place beloved by tourists. The sites
include: a watchtower, castle ruins,
three historic churches and a monastery,
former synagogue, the market with
Renaissance tenement houses and 16th-17th
century granaries by the Wisła river.
Eastern Upland Route

The route leads across Wyżyna
Lubelska and Polesie Wołyńskie (Pagóry
Chełmskie).
It covers areas of varied
landscape and natural environment:
forests, fields, meadows, ponds as well
as hills and mounds offering far-reaching
scenic panoramas.
In Kawęczyn, Piaski, Brzezice,
Kaniem, Trawniki palace and manor
complexes can be seen, in Piaski - ruins
of a Calvinistic church, in Pawłów - a
museum of pottery.
Chełm offers a particularly
attractive underground route through
cretaceous corridors. More information at

Bicycle routes
Through Dabrowa Forest in
Lublin - green, dist. 11 km
A roundabout route across the
forest located by the Zęborzycki
Reservoir. The route begins and ends near
the PKS bus stop opposite the foresters'
lodge, 200m from the car park
From Lublin to the Wisła
- red, dist. 64 km

Kazimierz Dolny
In several sections parallel to
the Western Upland Hiking Route. The
route leads across deforested hills
offering far-reaching views of the
scenery, as well as through forested
ravines and valleys. Cyclists will be
enchanted by the route's beauty as well
as the villages passed on the way. The
effort will be rewarded on reaching
picturesque Kazimierz Dolny and the
Małopolski Wisła Gorge.

Scenic park, "Pojezierze
Łęczyńskie" Scenic Park, Poleski
National Park with a Didactic-Museum
Centre in Załucza Stare - the beginning
of a naturalist path "Spławy"
leading to Łukie Lake. Viewing towers
for ornithological observations can be
found at Bubnów Marsh.
In Bystrzyca, Łęczna,
Puchaczów, Wereszczyn i Hańsk -
valuable parish churches, in Łęczna -
Regional Museum in a former synagogue, in
Zawieprzyce - castle ruins and a palace
complex. Wola Dorohuska is a large
summer-resort, agro tourist village.
